Who we are

Migo Studio is a subscription-based design and marketing service operated by Emily Camilo, based in New Zealand. When we refer to "Migo Studio", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean Emily Camilo trading as Migo Studio.
 

We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
 

What information we collect

Information you give us directly When you fill in our contact or enquiry form, subscribe to our services, or communicate with us, we may collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, and any other information you choose to share with us about your business needs.
 

Information collected automatically If our website uses analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), we may collect information about how you use our website, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on pages. This information is collected in aggregate and is not used to personally identify you.
 

Information you share while we work together During the course of our working relationship, you may share business information, brand assets, creative briefs, marketing plans, and other materials. We treat all such information as confidential.
 

Why we collect your information

We collect and use your personal information to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and assess whether our services are a good fit for your business

  • Provide and manage our subscription services

  • Slack — for day-to-day project communication

  • Trello — for project and request management

  • Hnry — for accounting and invoicing

  • WIX Forms — for form submissions

  • Stripe or similar — for payment processing
     

Each of these platforms has its own privacy policy and security measures. We choose platforms with strong privacy and security standards, but we cannot be held responsible for their individual practices.

Your information is stored securely and is accessible only to Emily Camilo and, where necessary, the third-party platforms listed above. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties for marketing purposes.
 

How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information for as long as is necessary to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. Client records are generally kept for seven years after the end of a working relationship, in line with New Zealand tax law. You may request deletion of your information at any time (see Your Rights below).
 

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you

  • Request a copy of your personal information

  • Ask us to correct any information that is inaccurate or out of date

  • Ask us to delete your information (subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it)

  • Withdraw your consent for us to use your information at any time

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
